Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern (Manufacturing and R&D) to join our team at our international headquarters in Utrecht. As a Data Analytics Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our R&D team to digitize the process for creating a prediction-based test plan for acrylamide, a substance released during coffee roasting. Your key activities will include:

  • Collecting requirements from the business to understand the process of acrylamide testing and mapping of the process
  • Evaluating which steps of the process can be automated further and finding technology solutions to implement these automations
  • Implementing low-code workflow or visualization solutions for automating the acrylamide testing tool in an agile way
  • Collecting feedback from the business to tailor the solution to their needs, while aligning with the IT team to ensure the usage of fit-for-purpose technology solutions

As a Data Analytics Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with process mapping, automation, and analytics, and you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about innovation and quality. We offer a unique learning journey as part of our Global IT Core Functions team, where you'll gain valuable insights into mapping and requirement gathering, and using low-code automation and workflow (Power Apps, Power Platform) and visualization (PowerBI) technologies.

Requirements

  • Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Data Analytics, Automation, or a related field.
  • Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English – Having some similar hands-on experience with food research activities is always a benefit.
  • Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship, preferably from the 2nd of September to January.
  • Availability: You can join the internship for 4 days per week, including three days in-office and one or two days remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
  • Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet's and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
  • You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
