About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Weekday. As a Department Manager, you will play a key role in building great customer experiences that elevate store sales and deliver a unique and inviting atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Offer customers a high level of service through styling advice, product knowledge, and store experience.
  • Sales Analysis: Analyze selling information and work with the store manager to maximize the sales performance of your department.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of sales assistants to achieve excellent standards of service.
  • Recruitment and Training: Support recruitment and ensure induction and training of new starters is carried out.
  • Talent Development: Assist the Store Manager in identifying future talents and putting together development plans to support their progression.
  • Store Operations: Oversee store operations and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Be a brand ambassador and provide the best experience for our customers.
Requirements
  • Knowledge: Understand what makes a great customer experience and have prior retail or customer-facing experience.
  • Motivation: Enjoy creating a positive work environment and leading a team, and are results-focused and enjoy multitasking.
  • Behaviour: Contribute to building a well-functioning team, stay up to date with the latest trends/customer needs/competitor activity, and support others to grow by giving constructive feedback.
