We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer-Researcher to join our team at VU Amsterdam. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and teaching in the field of non-discrimination law, sexual justice, and online dating platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct PhD research on non-discrimination law, sexual justice, and online dating platforms
  • Teach courses in non-discrimination law, EU law, human rights law, and law and technology
  • Develop and implement research projects addressing fundamental legal questions related to online dating apps and intimate digital platforms
  • Collaborate with faculty members and researchers to advance the department's research agenda
  • Contribute to the development of new courses and programs in the field of non-discrimination law and human rights

Requirements

  • Master's degree in law or a related field
  • Strong research and teaching background in EU law, non-discrimination law, law and technology, and human rights law
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced command of English
  • Ability to work in a team and engage with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong motivation to conduct long-term research and become an experienced teacher in higher education
