We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Shimano. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing the logistical supply chain processes around international and national transportation, ensuring efficient and effective operations in line with Shimano Quality standards and compliance with customs authorities.
The Role
- Coordinate and manage carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure seamless transportation operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop and implement tools and processes to enhance the efficiency of transportation operations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze performance results and collaborate with suppliers to optimize and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Validate outsourced customs processes, maintain accurate customs master data, and enhance customs flows.
- Conduct regular internal checks and audits of customs department and transportation procedures to ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Understand and apply Incoterms, manage product classification, and verify international trade documentation.
- Analyze financial transportation customs & logistics data for accuracy against contractual rates and requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for transportation, customs processes, and systems, ensuring staff compliance.
- Collaborate with various business units to optimize stock usage, warehousing, transportation, and customs processes, leading to more efficient distribution and reduced costs.
Requirements
- 3-5 years' experience in logistics and transportation management systems (TMS) and customs software.
- HBO/bachelor's level in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs processes or an aptitude to dive into international trade and customs arena.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
