About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead to join our Business Platform Operations team at Schiphol Group. As a Tech Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our business and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a technical vision for Business Platform Operations, guiding engineering teams and leadership in this direction.
  • Collaborate with architects and technical leaders from other IT & Data departments to maintain a holistic view of all products within BPO, ensuring alignment with company-wide architectural principles.
  • Advise and support engineering teams in the continuous evaluation and improvement of development standards, infrastructure, and processes to create technology that delivers sustainable value for the business.
  • Design strategies for future development projects and participate in transition and migration initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop technical talent across teams, fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
  • Simplify technical concepts for non-technical partners and communicate effectively in a complex stakeholder landscape.
Requirements
  • A technical background, preferably 8+ years of past working experience in a senior development position.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide the technical experts within BPO and inspire them on technical knowledge and personal growth.
  • Engineering experience with a tech stack around Angular, Typescript, Python, Java, and/or Azure DevOps is considered a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to simplify technical concepts to non-technical partners and communicate in a complex stakeholder landscape.
What We Offer
  • € 5552 to € 7803 gross per month (Schaal 14).
  • A 13th month (year-end bonus).
  • The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
  • Participation in the ABP pension fund.
