Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Moxy Schiphol Hotel. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's Front Office and Food and Beverage departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by Example: You will lead the team by example, ensuring that all shifts for the Front Office and Food and Beverage run smoothly as a 'manager on duty'. This means working in shifts, with one ops supervisor on shift at all times.
  • F&B Focus: Your focus will be on Food and Beverage, including ordering food and drinks, hygiene checks, menu engineering, guest satisfaction, and F&B Moxy/Marriott Brand Standards.
  • Team Management: You will work with the hotel leadership team to train the total team (Crew) by coordinating the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone areas.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: You will prepare monthly reports and budget for the Front Office and F&B department.
  • Guest Satisfaction: You will assist in monitoring and handling guest complaints, and create proactive planning to increase guest satisfaction scores.
  • Analytical Skills: You will demonstrate analytical skills in checking reservations and pre-blocking rooms to ensure that all guest expectations are exceeded upon arrival.
  • Departmental Goals: You will plan, develop, and implement departmental goals.
  • Financial Performance: You will coordinate and evaluate the department's financial performance.
  • Team Motivation: You will create an exciting and motivating work environment with strong commitment within the team.
  • Brand Standards: You will monitor the team to ensure consistent compliance with all Brand Standards.
  • Front Desk Service: You will ensure the front desk provides a professional and friendly service for guests.
  • Staff Scheduling: You will arrange staff scheduling.

Requirements

  • Multitasking and Prioritization: You will have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time and perform under pressure.
  • Continuous Motivation: You will be continuously highly motivated.
  • Relevant Degree: You will have a relevant degree in hospitality management.
  • Work Experience: You will have a minimum of 2 years' work experience in a similar role in a hotel.
  • F&B Experience: You will have experience in F&B as well.
  • Operational Mindset: You will have an operational mindset yet a creative mind, who drives innovative ideas to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Flexibility: You will be flexible in working different shifts (morning, evening, night, and weekend), which makes your job even more diverse.
