Siemens Cranes Netherlands is a global leader in providing state-of-the-art software and hardware solutions for highly digitalized harbor operations. We are seeking a skilled Software Developer/Solution Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced automation solutions for harbor cranes.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and make a significant impact on our company's success. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining monitoring software within WinCC OA for comprehensive control of complex crane systems
• Participating in the development of automation solutions for harbor cranes
• Supporting commissioning and acceptance testing of crane systems
• Tracking, documenting, and reporting on development progress
• Collaborating with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of software and crane hardware requirements

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer science or a related field, with extensive experience in object-oriented programming languages. They should also have at least 3 years of working experience in WinCC OA and familiarity with software integration and distributed environments.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field
• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming languages (C++, C#, Java, .NET, JavaScript, ROS/ROS2, Rust)
• At least 3 years of working experience in WinCC OA
• Familiarity with software integration and distributed environments
• 3+ years of proven experience in complex (automation) projects
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
• Business fluency in English, with Dutch language skills preferred
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Knowledge of container cranes and/or container terminals, along with industrial automation experience, is preferred
• Familiarity with SIMATIC S7 programming languages or equivalent is a plus
