Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Trainee to join our team at Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht. As a key member of our F&B team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our hotel guests and developing your skills in food and beverage management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of our three F&B outlets, including the Bluespoon Restaurant, Bar, and Events operations team.
  • Provide excellent service to our hotel guests and develop extensive knowledge of food and beverage products, including wine and food pairing.
  • Monitor equipment inventory, maintain par stocks of all equipment and supplies, and incorporate loyalty program benefits to increase guest recognition.
  • Work with Micros, computing bills, accepting payments, verifying cash and credit cards, and reviewing SOPs for room service to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Take leadership in the opening and closing shifts, involving financial closing and opening.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Hospitality or Tourism-related degree, preferably with an F&B focus.
  • Available for five months or longer.
  • Proactive, not afraid to make decisions, detail-oriented, and approachable.
  • Fluent in English, and ideally also in Dutch.
  • Great in customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or enrolled in a Dutch Institution.
