Software Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Haskell software developer to join our team in the Netherlands.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated gross salary for this position is between €3,465 and €6,814 per month, based on a 40-hour workweek. Additionally, you can expect a range of benefits, including:

Job Description and Responsibilities

As a member of our Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining new and existing features in our complex distributed web application. Your primary focus will be on working on the backend of our application, utilizing Haskell and Python technologies. You will collaborate with other team members, review PRs, and contribute to the overall scalability and performance improvements of our application.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Excellent programming skills in Haskell or similar typed functional languages
  • At least two years of software engineering experience
  • Experience building practical programs in Haskell
  • Experience with web development, web technologies, and APIs
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, preferably Postgres
  • Good working knowledge of Linux, git, and the command-line
  • Commitment to high engineering standards
  • Living in the Netherlands (or willing to relocate) and possession of a valid work permit (if you're a non-EU citizen)
