Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Food Processing Solutions Expert to join our team. In this role, you'll provide technical support and expertise to customers, regional teams, and field service teams. You'll be the go-to person for all technical/technological questions in your area of expertise (Controls Systems). Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Solving cases online/remotely and/or deciding on follow-up actions in a timely manner, following the escalation process.
  • Advising and informing internal stakeholders on technical solutions and case status.
  • Ensuring that field service engineers' debriefings are processed, and Customer Support is informed about follow-up actions.
  • Updating and/or registering machine information in the Installed Base Management system.
  • Identifying technical improvements that can be used for potential commercial opportunities.
  • Creating and maintaining service documentation (Service Info, Service Letter, and Service Notice).
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and coordinating reported technical feedback.
  • Identifying structural issues from reported technical feedback.
  • Being the central point for supporting knowledge build-up in regions and the industry/product group.
  • Identifying the need for technical and technological knowledge within regions (technical support engineers).
  • Sharing knowledge proactively with regions (technical support engineers).
  • Providing input to the Marel Academy for training materials.
Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's work and thinking level. An educational Bachelor Degree is not required.
  • Education in Mechatronics, Electrical- or Software engineering, or matching working experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, Dutch preferred.
  • Strong technical background on high-level food processing equipment required.
  • Excellent communicator with analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience in field service or technical support is preferred. Experience in the food industry is an advantage.
