As a senior member of the telecommunications and contact center team, the Senior Network Engineer (voice systems integration engineer) is anticipated to maintain a high level of productivity in a project-driven and support-focused environment.
Comfort in participating in global initiatives involving cloud-based solutions is crucial. The ideal candidate will prioritize customer service while ensuring timely completion of project tasks. Scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python will be utilized to effectively achieve objectives related to user management, configuration, and migration, while collaborating closely with Architects, Analysts, Voice and Network Engineers, and Project Managers.
This role may require work outside of standard business hours as necessary.
The position allows for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop procedures for the routine administration, monitoring, and maintenance of conferencing and telecommunications infrastructure Lead root cause analysis efforts to resolve issues and implement solutions that prevent recurrence, focusing on MS Audio Conferencing Act as a technical resource to support technological initiatives Analyze and gather requirements for system configuration changes Prepare documentation for change management Create and consolidate error reports related to system utilization Assess conferencing and voice system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization Monitor product updates, features, and functionalities as they become available from vendors Prepare and deploy scripts necessary for managing and supporting conferencing and voice systems Design, deploy, and support IP Telephony initiatives Support network activities aimed at VoIP optimization Identify, report, and track issues with internal and external teams until resolution is achieved in a timely manner Explore opportunities for cross-platform integration to leverage benefits across systems Create and maintain technical documentation for sharing with team membersRequired Qualifications:
Experience with Genesys Cloud, Microsoft Teams, Audiocodes SBC, Azure, AWS, and Carrier SIP over the internet Technical knowledge of VoIP over SIP across LAN, WAN, and internet technologies, along with software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting Administrative expertise in Windows servers and client operating systems Proven experience with scripting and markup languages such as PowerShell, Python, and batch/command line interaction Administrative background in managing various operating system components, including tracing, logging, registry, and network connectivity Familiarity with the Microsoft Office 365 environment 3-5 years of experience in IP Telephony implementation and operations Hands-on experience in TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting related to VoIP signaling and media Ability to communicate technical and operational concepts to both technical and non-technical staff Familiarity with contact center features and functions Functional understanding of voice gateways, routers, switches, databases, CaaS, SaaS, encryption, and virtualizationAt Wolters Kluwer Global Business Services B.V., you will be supported by leaders who value your contributions, collaborate with colleagues, and benefit from programs designed to foster your development.
