Role and Responsibilities

As the Technical Services Manager–CR (Control Room and related services), you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and readiness of the first line response organization and on-call services. You will collaborate with multiple control rooms and emergency response teams to secure business continuity and safety for all.

You will also be responsible for LoToTo services, setting-to-work services, and other 24/7 activities performed by hard service suppliers to facilitate the progress of our large portfolio of construction projects.

The role requires insight into asset system relations, contract awareness, and customer/stakeholder focus. Solutioning creativity, stress resilience, strong communication skills, and information availability are key success factors.

Your Tasks

  • Demand management related to high-priority processes for the correct and efficient response by suppliers to secure business continuity.
  • Ensure availability and readiness of management on-call service for high-priority issues.
  • Translate service demand into annual plans, including activities forecasts, KPIs, changes, improvements, etc., for PtW, (de)loto, and (de)commissioning functions.
  • Implement and monitor the correct use of standard processes for asset safety, such as LoToTo and permit-to-work.
  • Ensure cross-area collaboration when needed and alignment with security and safety teams.
  • Secure strong, actual, and complete information and communication for high-priority issues.
  • Contract and supplier evaluation regarding control room service delivery.
  • Coordinate escalation and de-escalation processes.

Requirements

  • Completed bachelor or master degree in engineering, asset management, or similar.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar complex industrial environment.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Solution-oriented and pragmatic.
  • Troubleshooter, stress-resistant.
  • Excellent decision-making skills in fast-changing and complex environments.
  • Delegating and giving orders towards suppliers.
  • Strongly results-oriented with a corresponding sense of responsibility.
  • Social skills, empathetic, listening, enthusing, and collaborating.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, dealing with mid-level management, peers, teams, service providers, contractors, and consultants.
  • High organizational sensitivity and situational awareness.
  • Balancing stakeholders' (conflicting) interests.
  • Networking skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Dutch.
