About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at GXO Logistics, Inc. in Tilburg. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on a timely basis, with accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain a sufficient supply of spare parts inventory.
- Ensure equipment is started up properly at the beginning of each shift.
- Maintain equipment in running order with minimal downtime.
- Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation.
- Diagnose and make repairs as needed.
- Maintain documentation of performance of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usage, and other relevant data.
- Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Contribute to reducing environmental impact through efficient use of resources.
Requirements
- Intermediate Vocational Education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Effective communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Knowledge of LEAN Warehousing principles.
- Experience in handling multiple projects and tight timelines.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and vehicle servicing.
- Safety-oriented mindset.
