Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Field Services Engineer to join our team at SCHOTTEL Nederland BV. As a key member of our propulsion systems team, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining our cutting-edge propulsion systems on various vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and commission propulsion systems on ships of all types and sizes.
  • Conduct system start-ups and ensure proper functionality according to specifications.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections of propulsion systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and execute repairs promptly.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Requirements
  • MBO-3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mechanical field service, preferably in propulsion systems or a related industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
