Role and Responsibilities

Job Mission
The integration engineer within the SICS department focuses on integrating the deliverables from development teams into assemblies and ensuring their quality. This role is part of the team that creates and presents the SICS schedule for assembly integration during quarterly planning events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration Strategy
    Contribute to the development of the departmental integration strategy with the integration team.
  • Integration Alignment
    Align the integration process with the system integration team.
  • Cloud Testing Integration
    Integrate the cloud testing initiative into the integration strategy.
  • Integration Planning
    Ensure the integration plan aligns with development during planning events.
  • Deliverable Integration
    Integrate deliverables from developers into assemblies.
  • Quality Assurance
    Maintain Jenkins jobs for regular and timely testing, analyze test results, and identify delivery issues.
  • Issue Resolution
    Communicate with developers to discuss and drive fixes for identified issues.
  • Process Improvement
    Automate integration and test steps where possible and explore opportunities for improvement.
  • Quality Gatekeeping
    Champion the quality of assemblies and challenge development teams to deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Education
    Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related fields.
  • Experience
    At least 3 years of experience in testing, integration, and software development, with experience in taking full ownership of integrating deliverables from multiple development teams.
  • Technical Skills
    Proficiency in GIT, Jenkins, Clearcase, Python, and experience with agile methodologies, preferably SAFe.
