Sustainability Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Project Manager to join our team at G-Star RAW. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for managing our operational environmental sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to reduce our environmental impact, focusing on energy use, water consumption, waste management, biodiversity, and carbon footprint reduction.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in environmental sustainability and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Develop scalable environmental improvement projects for our supply chain, managing their implementation and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ZDHC, Fashion Charter, and Cascale standards and programs across our supply chain.
- Manage compliance with membership requirements, overseeing implementation and devising strategies to improve status.
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure alignment with various standards and integrate sustainable practices into daily operations.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
- Develop and deliver training programs to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among employees and suppliers.
- Masters's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental management, preferably within the apparel industry.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
