Research Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the field of AI and Data Management for Retail. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge research projects, collaborating with our team of experts in AI and Data Science.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research in AI and Data Management, resulting in academic publications in peer-reviewed conferences and journals.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and become an active member of the research community.
  • Supervise Bachelor and Master theses and tutor students.
  • Coordinate and work with partners at Ahold-Delhaize.

Requirements

  • PhD in Artificial Intelligence or Computer Science.
  • Committed researcher with a strong track record of publications in international refereed academic journals and conferences.
  • Experience in supporting tasks and willingness to take responsibility for administrative tasks.
  • Professional command of English.

What We Offer

We offer a temporary employment contract for 38 hours per week for a period of 12 months. The preferred starting date is as soon as possible. The gross monthly salary, based on 38 hours per week and dependent on relevant experience, ranges between €3,000 to €5,000 (scale 10). UvA additionally offers an extensive package of secondary benefits, including 8% holiday allowance and a year-end bonus of 8.3%. The UFO profile Researcher 4 is applicable. A favourable tax agreement, the '30% ruling', may apply to non-Dutch applicants. The Collective Labour Agreement of Universities of the Netherlands is applicable.
