Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marine Ecologist to join our team at Royal HaskoningDHV Zwolle. As a Marine Ecologist, you will be responsible for providing environmental guidance and support to our clients in the offshore wind and maritime sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting baseline information and assessing risks and opportunities for the marine ecosystem
- Advising on decisions in the tender process, feasibility study, design, construction, and operation to enhance ecological performance
- Supporting in offshore wind tender processes and wind port development as a marine ecologist
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of experts and consultants
- Directly working with clients, problem-solving, and representing the company in client offices, regulator, and stakeholder meetings
Requirements
- Master Degree in Marine Ecology
- > 5 year experience in the delivery of EIAs or the environmental consenting process
- Experience in support in tender preparation for offshore wind or port developments is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication of English (Dutch is preferred, but not required)
- Organisational, analytical, and time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Particular experience in Habitats Regulations Assessments, Benthic Ecology, or Fish and Shellfish Ecology would be advantageous
