We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our External Reporting team in Heerlen, the Netherlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, audit coordination, and statutory filing.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Prepare financial statements and audit coordination reports;
- Translate US GAAP to local GAAP accounting principles;
- Coordinate and review activities of junior team members and service providers;
- Participate in project teams to roll out strategies to expand the team's scope;
- Lead projects and initiatives to transform, optimize, standardize, and automate audit coordination and statutory, corporate income tax and group reporting.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Audit or Accounting;
- Experience with compiling financial statements;
- 2+ years relevant working experience in accounting or audit;
- Highly self-motivated, pro-active and results driven;
- Minimum C1 proficiency level in English business language;
- Microsoft Excel intermediate proficiency level.
