Position OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Senior Project Coordinator within our Defence, Safety & Security division. In this role, you will oversee the execution of intricate and multidisciplinary projects related to new builds or significant refurbishments and upgrades of ships and submarines for our global defense clientele. Given the increasing market demand, there will be a substantial volume of work in these projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Project Coordinator, you will hold ultimate accountability for delivering large-scale multidisciplinary projects, focusing on the following aspects:
- Managing projects with teams of up to 40 members and budgets reaching 50 million euros;
- Planning and coordinating project activities;
- Ensuring timely delivery of project-related products;
- Monitoring progress, processes, quality, and milestones;
- Proactively updating stakeholders and management on project status;
- Providing periodic reports on results, costs, changes, risk profiles, etc.;
- Conducting post-project evaluations and financial assessments;
- Reviewing and refining proposals for quality and feasibility.
You will report directly to the Director of Operations and maintain close collaboration with your project team and colleagues from various departments.
Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will integrate all disciplines effectively. You are a results-oriented leader who maintains a focus on processes. Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English are essential. You are a motivator, coach, and possess a customer-centric personality. You are not afraid to take decisive action when necessary. Additionally, you should have:
- A higher education degree, preferably in a technical field;
- Extensive project management experience with complex technologies, ideally in the maritime sector;
- Project management qualifications comparable to IPMA B and Prince-2;
- Knowledge of system and product development processes relevant to the projects;
- A valid VCA-VOL certification.
