Azure Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team at GeekSoft Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and continuously improving our clients' online platforms.
Your primary focus will be on researching, suggesting, and implementing new technology solutions that adhere to best practices and standards. You will also be responsible for ensuring the resiliency and availability of our products.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a productive member of our team, working collaboratively with others to achieve our goals.
Requirements- Azure Solution Architecture expertise is essential, with knowledge or experience in other cloud solutions being highly valued. Proficiency in Azure DevOps and Big Data (Edge Analytics platforms) is necessary to quickly understand our technology stack.
- Experience with DevOps tools at a high level, particularly for selecting the right tools for our development and testing environments.
- Familiarity with VMWare and NetApp for our hardware refresh (LCM) needs.
- Willingness to work from the Netherlands and strong stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred certifications include Azure Solution Architect and TOGAF.
- Proficiency in Software Configuration Management tools like Git, Bamboo/Jenkins, Nexus, and JFrog Artifactory.
- Experience in building and automating CI/CD pipelines both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Working knowledge of automation service provisioning and middleware configuration.
- Proficient in container tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- At least 2 years of experience on a cloud platform, preferably Azure.
- Understanding of IaaS and PaaS services from cloud providers (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Server, Logic Apps, Azure Functions).
- Capable of demonstrating cloud migration strategies and approaches.
- Able to create Cloud DevOps pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Fundamental knowledge of disk storage, network, and database solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging in challenging technical discussions.
- An "Automate everything" mindset, validated through Proof of Concept (POC).
- Experience with VMware, including ESXi server.
- Proficiency in container tools such as Docker, Mesos, and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet.
- Experience with management tools such as Splunk, InSpec, and SCOM.
- Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Directory Services, including LDAP, Kerberos, and Active Directory (AD).
