Royal IHC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a challenging and dynamic environment. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative equipment solutions for our clients in the offshore energy and dredging industries.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement mechanical design concepts for various equipment, including winch systems, tensioners, and hose reel systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct strength and fatigue analyses, and create accompanying reports and specifications.
- Translate product standards and requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure the working environment is enjoyable and cooperation among the team is achieved.
- Higher vocational education (HBO) and/or academic higher education (WO) in marine or mechanical discipline, or other relevant field.
- Three years' experience in a similar position and with software such as Femap, Ansys, AutoCAD, Teamcenter, SolidEdge, and ERP System (IFS is a pré).
- Excellent communication skills and linguistic ability, preferably in both English and Dutch.
- Be comfortable working with automated systems.
- The ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of engineering processes in a project-based work environment.
- Knowledge of dredging and/or the offshore market (desirable).
- Knowledge of modern engineering processes and methods.
- The ability to follow developments with regard to the relevant regulation and markets.

- A gross monthly salary between €3620 and €5279 +8% holiday allowance (based on a fulltime working week).
