Transformative cloud solutions are at the forefront of Genmab's innovative approach to cancer treatment. As a Senior AWS Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and deploying our cloud platform, leveraging cutting-edge infrastructure-as-code and model-driven operations.

The ideal candidate is passionate about shaping the future of cloud technology and possesses a strong background in scripting (Bash, Python) and cloud formation templates. With 5-7 years of direct experience with AWS infrastructure and services, they will lead our team in developing and maintaining secure, compliant, and optimized cloud solutions.

Beyond technical expertise, the successful candidate will be an exceptional collaborator, able to work seamlessly with diverse backgrounds and drive project goals forward. Agile/SCRUM environments will not be a foreign concept, as this individual will facilitate rapid development and deployment.

About the Role

  • Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure for data lakes, analytics, and self-service platforms.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to deploy applications.
  • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for seamless code integration.
  • Serve as a technical advisor, aiding business partners in utilizing the cloud platform effectively.
  • Lead and influence team culture, emphasizing ambition, openness, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps practices and tools, especially GitLab.
  • Strong knowledge of network and security architectures within AWS environments.
  • Ability to engage proactively with multiple stakeholders to drive project goals forward.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the level of expertise required for this position.
