TNO is seeking a highly motivated intern to join our team in the field of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle modeling and diagnostics. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that aims to extend the simulation tool for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles to include degradation effects and diagnostics approaches.
Key responsibilities- Implement degradation models for hydrogen fuel cell systems into an in-house, physics-based fuel cell model.
- Familiarize yourself with TNO's fuel cell model and implement degradation models into the main fuel cell model.
- Simulate hydrogen fuel cell systems at various conditions and validate the model with existing experimental data.
- Perform parameter variation studies to understand degradation process sensitivities and analyze simulation results.
- Report writing and presentation of results at TNO.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or chemical engineering.
- Experience with and knowledge about Matlab.
- Ability to develop innovative solutions to technically challenging problems and a right mix of intellectual curiosity and pragmatism.
