Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Undutchables in Hoofddorp. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Service Center Team of Europe and reporting to the Finance Manager Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and lead high-impact continuous improvement projects, such as revenue control, accounting system enhancements, tax simplification, and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) compliance.
  • Prepare VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat, and Transfer Pricing deliverables in collaboration with our tax advisors and drive simplification.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closure activities, including booking of incoming invoices and preparing outgoing payments.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and submit statistical reporting.
  • Coordinate tax and compliance issues with local partners and perform payroll activities in collaboration with HR and an external payroll partner.
  • Monitor the filing of financial statements and corporate tax obligations in collaboration with local partners.
  • Assist with the annual statutory audits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in business economics/financial accounting or similar.
  • More than 4 years of experience as a financial accountant or senior accountant in an international (accounting) firm/company.
  • Proven accounting experience and a good understanding of VAT accounting and return processing.
  • Microsoft Excel skills, including Vlookup, Sumif, and Pivot.
  • Languages: English is mandatory, both spoken and written (Dutch is nice to have).
