Project Overview

In this research project, we aim to develop a resilience toolbox to support companies and public stakeholders in creating resilient corridors. The project focuses on transforming existing corridors into synchromodal corridors that can adapt to changing conditions.

Main Objectives

  • Develop a resilience toolbox for individual and collaborative development of resilient corridors;
  • Design and develop a digital twin for resilient multimodal corridors;

Responsibilities

The PhD researcher will conduct fundamental and industrial research on resilience in multimodal logistics, contributing to the development of new methods and techniques, and organizational strategies to improve resilience. The researcher will work closely with an EngD student to develop a digital twin platform.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in industrial engineering, management science, operations research, or related fields;
  • Affinity with resilience, multimodal logistics, supply chain management, digital twinning, and data-driven decision-making;
  • Good team spirit and ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment;
  • Able to conduct independent research and develop writing and publication skills;
  • Excellent communication skills and English proficiency;
