Public Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Public Procurement Consultant to support our clients in navigating the complex world of public procurement. Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of procurement laws and regulations, as well as a track record of successful consultancy in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Strategy:
  • Collaborate with government agencies and organizations to develop effective procurement strategies.
  • Assess current procurement processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Develop and implement public procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analyze procurement needs to identify potential suppliers.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate procurement methods and processes.
  • Manage procurement timelines and budgets to ensure efficient and effective procurement activities.
Procurement Policy Development and Regulatory Compliance:
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in public procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Advise clients on compliance requirements and help them navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
  • Work together with the legal department to ensure compliance with current and upcoming legal regulations and legislation.
Public Procurement Tenders:
  • Have a thorough understanding of tendering procedures applicable in the public tendering environment.
  • Assist clients in drafting comprehensive requests for public tenders according to public procurement regulations.
  • Draft lists of requirements for public tenders.
  • Write proposal-specific weighted evaluation, selection, and awarding criteria.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on meeting the selection criteria.
  • Evaluate and award contracts to suppliers based on weighted scoring on the awarding criteria.
  • Review and evaluate vendor proposals and provide recommendations for vendor selection.
  • Draft lists of KPIs and SLAs for contract management.
Vendor Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or disputes that may arise.
Training and Capacity Building:
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for client staff to enhance their procurement knowledge and skills.
  • Provide guidance on procurement best practices and techniques.
