Introduction

We are seeking a talented Software Engineering student or recent graduate to join our team as an intern and contribute to the development of a user-friendly Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) simulator. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced engineers to design and implement a SEM simulator that meets the needs of our customers.

Your Assignment

Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop a user-friendly, interactive, visual SEM simulator. This project will focus on SEM behavior and usability. Some of your tasks will include:

  • Visualizing the microscope state (physical parameters, settings, actuator states);
  • Executing scenarios and triggering autonomous protection mechanisms;
  • Simulating recovery from faulty conditions;
  • Simulating changing SEM settings;
  • Making use of the SEM physics simulator.
Your Profile

To be a match for this internship, you should have:

  • A bachelor or master's degree in Software Engineering or Physics;
  • Proficiency in Python (C# is a plus);
  • Affinity with UX design;
  • A solution-oriented mindset and hands-on approach;
  • Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
