Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our supply chain team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring a wide range of products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet business requirements while ensuring cost optimisation, quality standards, and sustainability principles.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and specifications.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, source products and services, and obtain competitive quotes.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure the best value.
- Raise purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Assist in measuring and evaluating supplier performance to reduce cost, increase process efficiency, and business performance.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and ensure adherence to contracted terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payment to suppliers.
- Maintain the Procure to Pay system (Adaco) in accordance with the E-Procurement process.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry regulations, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement in the procurement process.
- Contribute to the development of the procurement function by engaging in proactive leadership of projects and initiatives.
