Job Title: Galileo End-to-End System Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Galileo End-to-End System Architect to join our team at the European Space Agency. As a key member of our Galileo 2nd Generation System Engineering Unit, you will be responsible for defining, consolidating, and updating the overall Galileo system architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and manage the end-to-end system architecture, system behavior, concept of operations, and system scenarios and use cases.
- Establish and maintain the Galileo architecture roadmap, describing the incremental implementation of system capabilities through successive system releases.
- Ensure the derivation and traceability of system requirements and segment requirements consistent with the architecture.
- Establish and apply state-of-the-art system architecting methodologies and tools.
- Contribute to the analysis of new mission needs and the evaluation of design changes and deviations.
- Interface with the Space Segment Team, the Ground Segment Team, the Project Office, and relevant industrial actors to ensure a proper understanding and implementation of the system architecture.

Requirements:

- Master's degree in aerospace engineering, telecommunications engineering, or a relevant domain.
- Experience in system engineering, system architecting in large, complex projects and teams, including security aspects.
- Knowledge and practice of model-based system engineering, agile methodologies for system architecting, and global navigation satellite systems, particularly Galileo.
- Experience in space system development, verification, and review processes and standards.
- Ability to work autonomously, effectively, and cooperatively in a diverse, international team environment.
