TenneT is a leading player in the energy transition, driving innovation and growth. We are seeking a skilled Customs Advisor to join our team in Arnhem, contributing to our strategic ambitions.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to ensure timely and legally compliant export and import declarations, including preparing, processing, documenting, and monitoring all goods movements (import and export) to and from our offshore platforms in the North Sea.

You will be responsible for coordinating with internal employees, suppliers, and service providers to ensure necessary documentation for legally compliant customs clearance. Your technical expertise will be crucial in communicating confidently in Dutch and English.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely submission of customs declarations through third-party service providers.
  • Further develop the tax control framework and customs processes in coordination with the team.
  • Participate in new projects, applying your knowledge and skills to drive success.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong educational background (HBO or MBO level with relevant working experience).
  • Completed training as a freight forwarder, customs declarant with a focus on import/export and/or coordinator customs and trade compliance.
  • Solid professional experience (3 years plus) in import/export, customs clearance, and up-to-date expertise in customs law.
  • Affinity with VAT is a plus.
  • Confident handling of common MS Office applications, ideally also with SAP and customs clearance systems.
