About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Maritime Legal Counsel to join our Global Fleet Services team in the Netherlands. As a key member of our Legal team, you will play a critical role in navigating the complexities of maritime law and providing strategic legal advice to our colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, negotiate, and advise on contracts in accordance with internal guidelines, including drafting contracts and supporting commercial and business development teams.
  • Support the management of the Global Fleet Services organization in business development, including assessing partnership and collaboration agreements.
  • Provide internal training on legal topics, including contracting and terms.
  • Develop improvements in procedures and standardization to enhance the efficiency of legal support.

Requirements

  • Qualified shipping lawyer with over two years of dedicated legal experience within a maritime environment, specializing in maritime practice, P&I clubs, or similar sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team and foster strong professional relationships.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both oral and written.
