The Role
We're seeking a talented Innovation Scientist II to join our Scent Technology and Innovation team. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with R&D, Perfumers, Operations, and Commercial teams to create and deliver innovative technologies that delight our consumers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of fragrance technology innovation and identify opportunities to solve complex problems.
- Build strong relationships with customer account teams and provide technical support to meet their business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical strategies align with business objectives.
- Lead the technical scoping of new ideas and technologies, and develop a network of colleagues to expand application and business knowledge.
- Support junior team members in their development and integrate feedback from creative teams and accounts into projects.
- Identify potential patent opportunities and work with IP lawyers to execute filings.
Requirements
- Project planning skills and experience in product application/development.
- Result-driven and excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to react quickly to changing environments.
- Customer-focused and able to turn data into actionable insights.
- DOE experience and knowledge of lab safety, relevant application, raw materials, and chemical processes.
- Fluent in English, with other language proficiency (French, Dutch, German) a plus.
