About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our R&D department at Profitap, a leading manufacturer of network visibility and cybersecurity solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in every step of our engineering process, from system design and development to testing and deployment.

As a Software Engineer at Profitap, you will work closely with our dynamic team of software and hardware engineers to develop the core of our solutions. These can range from developing new RESTful API business logic to system facilities' configuration to designing network traffic analysis software components.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test software components for our network visibility and cybersecurity solutions
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, following industry best practices and standards
  • Work with our CI/CD tooling, GitLab, and Debian packaging to ensure smooth deployment and testing
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our software development process
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience with modern C++
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Experience with GNU/Linux
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling, GitLab, and Debian packaging is a plus
  • Experience with Google Test and Google Mock frameworks for unit testing is a plus
