Credit Risk Model Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Risk Model Owner to join our Model Ownership team at ABN AMRO Bank. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of credit risk models, ensuring their quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of credit risk models, including their design, implementation, and ongoing monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the correct estimation and oversight of Risk-Weighted Assets (RWAs).
- Provide expert guidance on credit risk model-related regulations, including the CRD/CRR framework.
- Contribute to the development of novel Climate and Environmental Risk (CER) related initiatives, increasing your and the team's CER knowledge.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including Modelling, Model Validation, Model Risk Management, IT, Operational Risk Management & Control, and supervising authorities.
- Ensure the set-up of a proper model landscape, execution of a sound model life cycle process, and appropriate use of models.
- Academic education in a relevant field.
- 2-10 years of working experience in a relevant position.
- Knowledge of the CRD/CRR framework and credit risk model-related regulations.
- Sufficient knowledge of Climate and Environmental Risk within the finance industry.
- Excellent communications skills, especially in writing (fluency in English is required).
- Ability to explain the main concepts of credit risk model design, including underlying data and their application to stakeholders.
