About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Park Plaza Vondelpark. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance and repairs to ensure the hotel's facilities are in good working order.
  • Coordinate and perform maintenance activities, including spot checks of equipment, stock control, and machinery error resolution.
  • Liaise with relevant teams to ensure guest satisfaction and ensure the safety of internal and external guests.
  • Follow guidance and instructions from the leadership team and adhere to the company's standard operating procedures.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or maintenance faults that may jeopardize guest or colleague satisfaction, health, and wellbeing.
  • Attend and complete all mandatory Health & Safety training.
  • Handle personal information confidentially and demonstrate ethical and social responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external guests via written correspondence, phone, and face-to-face.
  • Proactively look to solve issues, provide advice, and give recommendations to improve our way of working.
  • Engage with colleagues in relation to their work, displaying a passion for hospitality and great customer service.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when listening to the needs of guests and colleagues.
  • Work stand-by shifts to ensure maintenance issues are resolved in weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Create a brilliant first impression by preventive maintenance.
  • Actively contribute to your immediate and wider hotel team, using all forms of communication appropriate for each situation.
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with national laws and regulations, management decisions, and PPHE Hotel Groups operating policies, processes, and procedures.
