Data Scientist for Corporate Audit

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Corporate Audit team at ZF Group in Amsterdam. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in guiding our data analytics development and promoting best practices. You will work closely with the Audit teams to mentor and support them, oversee integrations with internal and external systems, and provide technical/methodology guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build solutions for Audit department needs, including automation of data collection, data consolidation, and data transformation processes.
- Prepare and perform data analysis to identify risks and related audit fields, gather, transform, and provide high-quality data for dashboards and periodic reports.
- Support risk-oriented audit planning and execution, communicate with, and provide comprehensive support to, the global Audit teams' data analytics requests.
- Continuously improve existing data analytics processes, tools, and the portfolio of data analytics test procedures.
- Coordinate with data and process owners and IT for performance of individual and ad-hoc requested analysis, work in cross-functional internal/external teams on data analytics to improve our Standards & Processes.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science, data science, finance, economy, or similar.
- Experience in data management or data analytics/data visualization, ability to analyze and document complex data metrics, open to explore novel approaches for problem-solving through the use of Machine Learning, AI, and automation.
- Firm understanding of data sources/bases/structure and ERP systems.
- Outstanding knowledge in Excel (including pivot tables, pivot charts), experience with Power BI, Azure tools, knowledge of SQL, VBA, or any other programming language (e.g., Python).
- Experience in internal auditing would be an advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data and observations to a non-technical audience in English language.
