Financial Analyst Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Trainee to join our Growth Finance team in Nijmegen.

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work on various financial projects, including operational finance, data analysis, and reporting. You will be responsible for collating, analyzing, and reporting on R&D finance actuals versus targets, supporting financial forecasts for management decision-making, and performing intercompany recharges.

• Collate, analyze, and report on R&D finance (actuals vs targets)
• Support on financial forecasts for management decision making
• Perform intercompany recharges
• Perform project spend analysis
• Support dashboard creation to support day-to-day work of Growth finance
• Support on development of Growth Finance reporting capabilities
• Content preparation for meetings with key Growth stakeholders
• Communication with relevant stakeholders (within and outside R&D)

• Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Data Analytics Bachelor/Masters student
• Accounting and Finance knowledge is needed
• MS Excel use is needed
• Data analytics and visualization knowledge
• Previous internship in finance/accounting/data analytics is a plus
• You have analytical thinking, with numbers mindset and very attentive to detail.
• You should have strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement but other languages are a plus)
• You are enrolled at a university for at least 50% study load for the duration of the internship.
• Note: EU working rights are required

We offer a competitive salary of €25,000 - €30,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. You will also receive a comprehensive training program, mentorship, and opportunities for career growth and development.
