The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our data-driven solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for determining the requirements for the application of data science methods to business questions, using advanced analytical and machine learning methods to extract value from business data, and building data-driven models and reports to generate consumer insight and help Damen Digital Solutions address product development challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Determine requirements for the application of data science methods to business questions;
- Use advanced analytical and machine learning methods to extract value from business data;
- Build data-driven models and reports to generate consumer insight and help Damen Digital Solutions address product development challenges;
- Give insights to product-teams through presentation of data-driven recommendations;
- Contribute to the Damen analytical tools;
- Identify new business opportunities using data science methodologies
- A Bachelor degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics or econometrics;
- 1-3 years of experience with a foundational understanding of the business context to tackle the core issues and satisfy customer needs;
- Good understanding of data analytics processes, data science methodologies and machine learning applications to create value out of data;
- Ability to distil actionable insights from analysis for a non-technical audience;
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL. Familiarity with analytics platforms and tools like DataBricks, Azure Synapse, and Power BI;
- Excellent team collaboration capabilities. A curious and proactive attitude towards problem-solving and eager to take responsibility;
- A growth mindset with a keen interest in continuous development and learning
