Job Summary

As an Aftertreatment Calibration Engineer at Trinamics Beheer B.V., you will be responsible for the calibration of diagnostics related to comprehensive components for aftertreatment systems. Your primary goal will be to ensure that DAF engine development is compliant with OBD regulation and DAF product specification book. You will work closely with development teams to specify and monitor interactions between different components and associated diagnostics. Additionally, you will perform calibration and verification work on engine and vehicle levels, develop tools to control, maintain, and optimize calibration processes, and identify weaknesses and opportunities related to diagnostics, processes, and tooling. You will also support field data analysis for statistical analysis and the OBD certification and documentation process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calibrate diagnostics related to comprehensive components for aftertreatment systems
  • Ensure DAF engine development compliance with OBD regulation and DAF product specification book
  • Specify and monitor interactions between development teams for involved components and associated diagnostics
  • Perform calibration and verification work on engine and vehicle levels
  • Develop tools to control, maintain, and optimize calibration processes
  • Identify weaknesses and opportunities related to diagnostics, processes, and tooling
  • Support field data analysis for statistical analysis
  • Support OBD certification and documentation process

Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master degree in automotive or mechanical engineering with specialization in internal combustion engines or after-treatment systems
  • Knowledge or interest in OBD regulation and OBD systems
  • Familiarity with operating principles of automotive pressure and temperature sensors and their interface to a control unit
  • Structured working approach combined with pleasure to work in teams
  • Good Matlab/Simulink, data processing tools, and MS-Office skills are mandatory
  • Knowledge about statistics is required
  • Good English skills are mandatory, combined with willingness to learn Dutch if needed
