We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ROV Pilot Technician II to join our team at Boskalis Subsea Cables. As a key member of our offshore team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art subsea equipment, including tracked cable burial trenchers and ploughs.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our subsea equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Remote Operation: Launch, recover, and operate our ROV or Plough from the remote control cabin on the surface, often in challenging environmental conditions.
- Equipment Control and Data Interpretation: Operate and interpret various displays and data from sensors, including cameras, sonars, navigation, and other equipment.
- Reporting and Administration: Assist in completing reports, administration, and preparation of technical procedures, including daily reports, work procedures, risk analysis, permits, and more.
- Planned Maintenance and Repair: Safely execute and register planned maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with company procedures.
- Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Experience working with electronics, hydraulics, and/or mechanics, with a strong understanding of jetting, mechanical, trenching, and ploughing operations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering.
- Teamwork and Communication: Strong team player mentality with excellent communication skills and a good command of written and spoken English.
- Global Travel: Willingness to travel globally on a flexible rotational basis, with periods of work on location followed by similar periods of leave.
