Senior Technical Specialist for Strategic Technology Fields

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at Indorama Ventures Public. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and organizing technical intelligence on strategic technology fields for IVIH, including depolymerization, bioethylene, bioMEG, and bioPX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a technology and IP map for each strategic technology field based on IP searches, open-source data, and market reports.
  • Support the IVIH team during technical exchanges with technology developers.
  • Coordinate the interface with third parties/technology developers to collect data and information for technical analysis.
  • Provide benchmarks of various technologies in each field, including process modeling and LCAs.
  • Create and maintain an IT database for storing information and exchanges relevant to IVIH strategic technology fields.
  • Provide news updates on major shifts in the field or newcomers.
  • Conduct intakes for early-stage start-ups.

Requirements:

  • Chemical or process engineer at MSc.+ Level with basic training in economics and IP.
  • 5y experience in a relevant work environment, such as chemicals/plastics manufacturing, technology development, engineering, consultancy, or IP firm.
  • Experience with PX, PTA, EO, MEG, PET, packaging, and/or recycling preferred.
  • Experience with process modeling and LCAs preferred (e.g. Aspen+, SimaPro).
  • Capability to use basic tools for process engineering design.
  • Good communicator with excellent command of English language.
  • Ability to travel across EU 1-2x per month.
