About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Developer to join our Financial Risk team at ABN AMRO. As a Business Developer, you will play a key role in developing new technologies and introducing them to the ABN AMRO Risk Management community. You will work closely with stakeholders to uncover and define business requirements, develop a vision, and translate it into concrete implementation plans that align with ABN AMRO's longer-term vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Uncover and define business requirements from our wide stakeholder group and various regulations.
  • Develop a vision integrating those requirements and translate it into concrete implementation plans.
  • Ensure that implementation plans are well received by the blocks (teams) that will be implementing them.
  • Act as an integrator to ensure that the implementation is actually brought live.
  • Adapt your vision and implementation plans continuously to the ever-changing environment.
Working Environment

ABN AMRO works in an agile DevOps environment, and you will become part of a multidisciplinary team - a block - of business and IT within the Financial Risk grid. The Financial Risk grid is responsible for (a.o.) RWA calculations and IFRS9 provisions, including model implementations, stress testing, and scenario analysis. You will work in co-operation with a small group of experienced colleague business developers.

Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of SQL in Oracle or Spark.
  • Experience with credit portfolio data (loans, facilities, collateral, clients, risk indicators).
  • Quantitative acumen, expressed in good understanding of models and data (at least equivalent to a master's degree in a quantitative area).
  • Data modelling in relational databases.
  • Understanding of business processes related to capital requirements (RWA) and IFRS9 calculation.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with implementing calculation models.
  • Affinity for credit risk models, in particular non-IRB models like climate risk and stress testing models.
  • Ability to combine various methodologies and work with changing insights and changing regulatory requirements.
  • Good communication skills and ability to keep stakeholders involved throughout the process.
  • Results-oriented and able to keep order in a complex environment.
  • Experience in taking responsibility for high-quality deliverables.
  • Experience in project work, preferably in leading projects.
