QA Test Engineer

Brady is seeking a skilled QA Test Engineer to join our team in Bergen, Norway. As a QA Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our ETRM solution, a critical component of our customers' trading technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute tests for desktop and web applications
  • Review business requirements and specifications to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Liaise with internal teams to understand system requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Provide test estimates to support bid pricing, project costing, and task planning
  • Derive and design test cases
  • Design, develop, and execute functional and non-functional tests
  • Peer review QA and Test team work
  • Capture, record, and document bugs to allow development teams to reproduce issues
  • Prioritize workload to meet agreed commitments
  • Review SDLC processes and recommend improvements
  • Ensure approved development procedures are followed across the SDLC
  • Provide timely feedback to line management as required
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable QA and Test experience across the full SDLC
  • Understanding of finance, energy, and/or commodity markets
  • Knowledge of ETRM is a plus
  • Ability to write clear, concise test plans and perform testing across desktop and web applications
  • Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specifications and derive valuable test cases
  • Application of test techniques across the full SDLC covering desktop, web, and API testing
  • Skilled in SQL and scripting
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • General IT experience and exposure to online services, Windows platforms, and infrastructure, and knowledge of database architecture
  • Confident written and verbal communicator, including client-facing roles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork – ability to collaborate positively with team members based locally and remotely
  • Relevant numerate degree in finance, business, economics, computer science, engineering, or mathematics
