The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in enabling departments and management to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide insights for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Gather data from various sources, including ship sensors, production systems, and relevant application databases, and integrate it to create a comprehensive dataset for analysis.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide insights for informed decision-making.
- Determine and sustain data ownership, formulate and uphold quality rules, develop a data risk profile, ensure data security, and manage definitions and descriptions according to data governance.
- Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data; generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Ensure data accuracy by identifying and rectifying errors or inconsistencies and validating data to maintain its quality and reliability.
- Support and train end-users on reporting tools and best practices.
- Identify areas where data analysis can enhance operational efficiency or streamline processes.
- Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies in data analysis and explore new methods and approaches to improve the effectiveness of DN's data analysis needs.
- Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
- 5+ years of experience with providing business-critical insights through data analysis.
- Experience in working with Power BI or SSAS data analysis tools.
- (Preferably) experience in the maritime/defense or related industry.
- Experience in data management in a large international company.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Excellent references and antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
- A competitive salary and 8% holiday pay.
- 27 holidays and 13 ADV days.
- Travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.
