The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Maritime Innovation Program Manager to join our team at Holcim. As part of our journey to become a net zero company, this role will play a critical part in driving innovation and sustainability in the maritime sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish innovation opportunities from market analysis and drive innovation projects to establish key differentiated offers
  • Support countries in their Maritime and Coastal projects and interface with the Marketing Maritime Infrastructure team
  • Lead innovation projects according to Holcim's project management system, with multi-disciplinary resources from the Innovation Center and the NL-Coastal team
  • Develop innovative solutions addressing climate change, from incubation to development and scale-up
  • Develop prescription selling to Coastal and Maritime companies
About You

We are looking for applicants with a strong sense of curiosity and ambition to make a difference. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or Coastal Engineering or Material Science (MSc at least, PhD ideally)
  • 5 to 10 years practical experience in Coastal / Maritime domain, including good network to key players
  • Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking
  • Management skills, results orientation, innovation and collaborative mindset, synthetic mindset
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of the cement and concrete industry, and/or of contracting industry will be beneficial
Further Details

This role will be based in the Holcim Coastal Netherlands (Rotterdam area) with typically 1 week of travel to Holcim Innovation Center in France (Lyon area) per month. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Concrete & Aggregates R&D Department and will have a permanent position (CDI) - full-time, split at 80% on R&D program and 20% support to Coastal business.

Other benefits include remote work available (1 to 2 days/week) and a company that has signed an agreement favoring the hiring of disabled employees.
