Job Title: Graphic Designer Fashion

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer to join our fashion department at Mexx. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for designing placement graphics, allover prints, and branding-related artworks. You will also be involved in creating seasonal online collection books and supporting the sales and marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing of placement graphics, allover prints, and branding-related artworks
  • Making graphics and artworks development and production-ready
  • Handling communication with suppliers about development of all graphic-related matters
  • Take ownership of the entire design process together with the rest of the Graphic team and Design
  • Actively track and proactively researching trends and performing market research that works into the Mexx brand strategy
  • Translating trends into a commercial collection together with the other Designers and Head of Product womenswear
  • Creating seasonal collection books together with the Graphic team and marketing
  • Generating colorcards and handling trim and label design
  • Working closely and communicating daily on issues and changes that arise from the development of designs selected with the team in the office next to suppliers and offices abroad
  • Able to help find solutions to any problems that may come up during the development process
  • Preparing Graphic sheets and overviews of the collection each season for the Head of Product and sales

Requirements:

  • Completed HBO education in the direction of Graphic Designer or Fashion Design
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Designer in a similar position
  • Technical knowledge of graphics, allover print, layout design, and branding
  • Experience with both handmade and digital designing. Own a diverse handwriting and typographically strong
  • Excellent computer skills in Adobe programs like Adobe CC, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign
  • PLM or similar program knowledge is convenient
  • You have an excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing, Dutch is a huge plus
  • Flexible, accurate, structured, responsible, can work well under pressure and shows initiative
  • Work as a true team player
  • Be up-to-date with trends and market developments
  • Ability to translate trends into a commercial collection with a contemporary handwriting
  • Is able to work in a dynamic environment, work independently and has a hands-on mentality
  • Available full-time or min 4 days a week
  • Living in the Netherlands or in the near direction of the Drunen head office
