As a Workshop Compressor Mechanic at Hoerbiger Benelux, you will be part of a strong team that provides service to customers in Europe. Our team is responsible for executing all works around the service of reciprocating compressors and assembly of newly built sub-components.
Main Responsibilities- Disassemble and assemble compressor parts, such as cylinders, liners, bearings, conrods, and cross-heads.
- Inspect and measure incoming goods, evaluate and record findings.
- Rework and machine compressor parts to specifications.
- Machining activities, including honing and boring of cylinders and parts.
- Support estimation and planning of activities for cost calculation and shop planning.
- Collaborate with colleagues from different departments, including Shop, Field Service, Engineering, Sales, and customers.
- Ensure accurate documentation and labeling.
- Train shop colleagues in assembly, disassembly, and rework of compressors.
- Execute routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Assist in other areas, such as Field Service intervention, during activity peaks.
- Completed Secondary vocational education (MBO) level 3 or 4, preferably Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
- Basic machining skills.
- Experience with Recip Compressors and maintenance of Rotating Equipment and Auxiliary Equipment.
- Compressor disassembling and assembling know-how, including adjustments within specs and tolerances.
- Very good technical insight.
- Ownership and service attitude, with a strong focus on internal and external customer orientation.
- A strong eye for detail.
- Hands-on, organizationally strong, accurate, and result-oriented.
- Good command of Dutch, German, and English languages.
- Good communication skills.
- Good PC skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
- Flexibility and ability to work in several workstations.
- Desire to increase knowledge.
- VCA certificate.
