We are seeking a highly skilled Port Engineer to join our team in Rotterdam, Amersfoort, or Nijmegen. As a Port Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects in the field of water and maritime engineering, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safe mooring of ships in ports.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to specialized projects involving mooring design, moored ship behaviour, and metocean assessments.
- Develop and implement numerical modelling techniques for moored ship behaviour, including Dynamic Mooring Analysis.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to design and optimize mooring systems for safe and efficient operations.
- Contribute to the development of our digital product, Smart Mooring, which provides predictive and actionable insights for safe loading and offloading operations in ports.
- Manage and carry responsibility for project execution, including technical assessments, reporting, data management, and quality assurance.
- MSc degree in Civil/Maritime/Offshore Engineering, with a strong understanding of ship behaviour in wind, waves, and current.
- Over 5 years of experience in engineering projects related to ship motion analyses and/or mooring studies.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills in English, and preferably Dutch.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and partners to deliver high-quality projects.
