About the Role

Eneco is seeking a highly skilled Intraday Trader to join our team. As an Intraday Trader, you will be responsible for optimizing the results of Eneco within the intraday power market.

You will work closely with our team of traders, commercial analysts, and meteorologists to ensure that there is enough power and gas every day to meet demand, at the right price and with low risks.

This is an intellectual challenge with a clear proposition: Eneco wants to be climate neutral by 2035.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a vision on European day ahead, intraday, and imbalance power markets.
  • Share your time between trading and development/optimization.
  • Be responsible for the trading profit/loss, expected to contribute by being highly commercially oriented.
  • Optimize the available flexible generation capacity in our portfolio.
  • Manage the imbalance exposures of our customers and renewable portfolio within the intraday market.
  • Develop and execute profitable trading strategies.
  • Be innovative and collaborate with other teams to grow our business.
Requirements
  • Masters' Degree in a STEM subject.
  • Meteorological knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL/Python/Excel/VBA.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Previous experience is not a must, entry-position.
